Alexapure Pro Water Filter Replacement Review
Today I recieved the Alexapure replacement filter box from Amazon. My first water filter was installed for about about a year now and it's finally starting to slow down a bit.
I purchased this brand new filter because I currently only have one filter in the container and it's running a little bit slowly. Generally speaking Alexapure water filters last for about 6 months at full speed, regularly cleaning is recommended.
Though it's possible to have up to 4 filters at a time in the Alexapure Pro, I decided that when I first owned it that 1 filter was enough for me.
I've come to learn that after having an Alexapure in a home with more than 1 person, it's best to get a total 2, 3, or all 4 filters at once.
Here's how the Alexapure replacement filter box arrives out of the package. The filter itself is heavily packaged, so there's no need to worry about damage during transportation.

Once I opened the box, you can see how the filter is wrapped in a water-proof bag in the image below.
Here I'm holding this container which actually contains water, which is healthy for a well-functioning filter.
The purpose behind why the filter is liquid wrapped, is because if the filter gets too dry it can interfere with the ability of the filter to function properly.

Cleaning your Alexapure
Before I install the filter, I empty the top compartment and clean it out by rinsing with a wet sponge. It's best to wipe it down completely before screwing in another filter.
What's the benefit of having multiple Alexapure filters?
Since I bought this filter, I'm now going to have two filters instead of one. Buying a second Alexapure water filter provided me with much better water flow than when I only had 1 filter.
What tends to happen is that within 6 months, water flow slows down in the Alexapure (though, cleaning does help with water flow).
As you can tell there are actually three other spaces for water filters so you could have a maximum of four water filters in the Alexapure.
I now only have two, maybe I'll add some more later on because of how much quicker the water is at filtering fresh water.
Pros
Alexapure offers the cleanest water I've ever had in my life, in terms of consistent water supplies, it has changed the way I view my water sources.
I've convinced my wife that other water sources aren't great, and that our water source is the best! (it's true)

Cons
I also want to mention that sometimes when the water is low, (and it is often) I like to tip the Alexapure can over so that I can get more water out of the can without having to wait.
It does take time for it to filter out some of the nice water. However, adding 1-3 additional water filters will speed this up a lot!
After cleaning, adding a new filter, and re-filling with water I'm going to see how quickly it fills the water...
So, now this is a half hour (30 minutes) after installing the second water filter. With the new water filter installed, the flow of water has been completely restored.
I'm happy to see that my Alexapure is filtering a lot quicker than before. To me, it's worth buying additional filters to increase water flow.
If you listen in closely to the chamber you can hear the water filter dripping. Before I replaced the filter it used to drip every 15-20 seconds. But now, it drips every second or every other second (That's mostly thanks to the brand new filter).
Those are the results of having two filters in here. One not-so-new and one that's brand-new.
Depending on your needs, you may need anywhere between one and 4 filters for your home
